Besides the Peoples Run – Memorial Mother Theresa, several important initiatives take place in Albania on the occasion of the yearly celebrations in honour of Mother Theresa. A special work group has been set up under the Prime Minister's office. A number of events are run not only in Albania but also in other countries where there are large Albanian communities, such as Kosovo, Macedonia and Montenegro. Peoples Run is one of the activities of the global initiative Dialogue Project (www.progettodialogo.it), it is organized by the Amateur Sports Association Ponte Mediterraneo and by the NGO Maratona dei Popoli. Other Dialogue Project's initiatives are:

• the photo exhibition on Mother Theresa organized in co-operation with Rizzoli - Corriere della Sera (RCS) and held in the National History Museum of Tirana;
• the "A World in Colours" contest, specifically targeted to schools and young people in order to promote cross-cultural and cross-religious dialogue;
• the Dilaogue Witness Prize:awarded yearly to a person or an organisation that stood out for their commitment towards dialogue amongst cultures and religions;
• the Symbolic Relay through which the People Runners promote the Project all around the world.
